BUT SINCE THEY ARE SO SCARCE I'D FIGURE YOU COULD GET AT LEAST $1,500.00 FOR THE MOTOR AND TRANS EASY! MY DAD IS A MOPAR MAN AND WE WOULD SEARCH HI & LO FOR OLD EX-TROOPER CARS WITH THE HP-2 STAMP ON THE I.D. BLOCK!!! THOSE CAME .020 OVER FROM THE FACTORY AND HAD GOOD CRANKS AND HEADS!!!! THOSE WERE THE DAYS! OH? BTW DOES IT HAVE A THERMOQUAD ON IT? THATS WHAT SHOULD BE ON IT! DON'T BE SURPRISED IF ONE DAY YOU HEAR ABOUT ME RACING A CHRYSLER!!!

NO!! ON THE BLOCK ITSELF !YOU CAN FIND THIS I.D. BLOCK AT THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE JUST ABOVE THE WATER PUMP TOWARDS THE RIGHT! LOOK AT THE FRONT OF THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AT THE END OF THE TIN INTAKE COMBO GASKET/VALLEY PAN! SPECIAL NOTE: IF THIS HAD AIR COND. IT MAY BE HARD TO SEE? BECAUSE THIS IS USUALLY MOUNTED HIGH AND IN THE CENTER OF THE MOTOR! ALSO NOTE: THAT THIS MUST BE A 440 426 OR 413 TO HAVE THIS I.D. BLOCK! BECAUSE 400 & 383s ARE NOT EQUIPPED WITH IT!

up also the 440 is an "RB" or RAISED BLOCK which is a different deck height than a 383

I `m not a mopar man strictly chevy and BOP but I do appreciate all old musle cars and you gotta love the cool colors and names. I had an interesting car given to me once it was smacked up with a 440 hp motor in it and it wasn`t an american car either 72 or 74 dont remember but it was an english made jensen intercepter 3 it was about the size of a studebaker avante and similar back end. I sold it at englishtown back in 94

Hey.. Another Mopar guy on board.. One thing, I'm not sure about the $1500 for the engine and trans.. Kinda steep, IMO.. Maybe $800-$100 for a good set up. I picked up a runnin 400 for a friend of mine for $350. A different time, A guy pulled a good bb 727 outta the car for me for $275.. I put 'em together and got $900..This was about 3-4 years ago..
