I became intrested in the actual Documentation and Heritage of my Firebird, and took the time to write down and decode the V.I.N. numbers and Cowl Tag numbers to see exactly what I had for a car and how it rolled off the Assembly line and out of the Showroom, so I contacted PHS automotive services and they told me basically what I already was able to decode as far as
paint: Verdero Green.
exterior trim: blk. vinyl top, dual sports mirrors, Rally II wheels, F70x14 red-Wide oval tires, & scooped hood.
interior: custom interior w/Delux door panels & Strato bucket seats in Parchment color, custom a/c, soft ray glass, power steering, rear seat speaker rear defogger also folding rear seat, clock, console, custom sports steering wheel, & visor vanity mirror.
BUT WHAT I DID'NT KNOW FOR SURE WAS THE DRIVETRAIN? BUT PHS SUPPLIED THE FOLLOWING~~>
Drivetrain: 400 330h.p. (YT code) 4BBL. V-8 premium fuel, chrome air cleaner, rocker covers, & oil cap w/ dual exh. declutching fan, hood scoops
turbo hydramatic 400 transmission
Safe-T-Track rear axle w/2.56:1 final drive ratio, and front disc brakes
Well as I figured my car certainly was'nt a run of the mill straignt 6 or 350 cubed Firebird it began life as a very well Optioned Muscle car and I have the documentation to prove it now, I know it may not mean a thing to most, but since it's car related I thought I'd share.
p.s.
It would have resembled this car with the exceptions of the interior, which resembles an off white and of course the top which was actually black Vinyl hard top and not a black convertible, but still a very Cool Muscle Car!
